With over 30 years of standing at the Bar, he has a distinguished professional career marked by public responsibility and active legal practice. He served as Additional Standing Counsel for Union of India, followed by his tenure as Additional Advocate General for the State of Haryana before the Supreme Court of India. He regularly practises before the Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court, and District Courts, specialising in civil, criminal, arbitration, and family law matters.


In April 2018, he was elected as a Member of the Bar Council of Delhi and thereafter served as its Co-Chairman and Honorary Secretary. He has played a very active role in getting the Life Insurance Policies and Mediclaim policies implemented and constantly works for the betterment of the legal fraternity. During crucial times, he has always stepped up for the Advocates in need especially during Covid where the Bar Council of Delhi provided oxygen cylinders and ration kits etc.

METHOD OF VOTING IN THE BCD ELECTIONS 2026

Method of Voting in the BCD Elections:
As illustrated in the reference image below, voting must be done strictly in the prescribed format to ensure your vote remains valid.
First Preference
A voter must mark the figure 1 in the space opposite to the name of the candidate whom he/she chooses as the first preference.
Further Preferences
There is no restriction on the number of preferences. Voters may indicate additional preferences by marking 2, 3, 4, and so on, according to their choice.
No Separate Preferences for Female Candidates
There is no separate provision for giving preferences exclusively to female candidates. All candidates must be marked within the same preference sequence.
Avoid Duplicate Preferences
Voters must not assign the same preference number (such as 1) to more than one candidate, whether male or female. ⚠️ Duplicate or repeated preferences will render the vote invalid.
No Identification Marks
A voter must not sign the ballot paper or make any mark by which he or she can be identified. Any such marking will invalidate the vote.
